Korean Steamed Bun Village in Pyeongchang

During our roadtrip from Seoul to Gangneung, we stopped by Ahnheung Steamed Bun Village. In Korean it is written as 안흥찐빵 마을 (Ahnheung Jjinppang Maeul). We tried buns with various filling, including the Classic Jjinppang with red bean, Custard Cream Jjinppang, and Chocolate Jjinppang. Watch the full video below for the detailed tour and food review!

Want to visit the featured steamed bun shops? Allow me to share the info with you :)

Said to be the most famous jjinppang shop in the area, we discovered their buns had the thickest skin. If you prefer mild flavors, then this is for you.

I gobbled down the interior red bean first. As for the leftover thick skin, I'd like to dip them into a sauce :)

Showing you how thick the exterior skin is. Compared to the previous shop we visited (the one with the grandma painted on the wall), the buns here have more red bean filling and thinner skin. More tasty this way!

Hearing them rise the leaves made a refreshing sound. If you're into ASMR or nature soundtracks, you're going to love this!

For dinner, we bought chicken and steamed egg at the convenience store near the hotel. I wrapped the cabbage leaves into roll with the ingredients.
